The Bridge is painted behind Midtfyns Bryghus in Denmark - in front of the railway bridge.
It was the last painting I made on a trip to paint the area around the Brewery (Midtfyns Bryghus). I wanted the paintings to be something local among alle my other paintings from the rest of Denmark.
I feel in love with the soft light of the late afternoon sun and the symbolic part of the motifs. The Brewery is having succes with a lot of prices for its bear and International sales. And I found that the train tracks towards the horizon represented the future and the possibilities ahead - but also the hard work of the owners to get in this very good position.

The bridge could be a symbol of life that the owner and employees are having while fighting for the succes of the brewery. The 2 parts are crossing - but though still separate. Finally I liked the long shadows stretching across the landscape, with the small light under the bridge to symbolise luck and happiness.

After finishing the first painting I brought it for an artist talk, at and what you see i the result of the advices I got.

This is a typical Danish bridge, but still special because, it is the bridge behind Midtfyns Bryghus in Denmark. The painting was made on the spot to be part of an exhibition at the anniversary of Midtfyns Bryghus and I wanted to bring local paintings for local participants. I enjoyed the soft light of the late afternoon sun while painting - but it was a difficult job.  Long shadows stretch across the landscape, and a small light under the bridge adds a mysterious glow. After finishing the first painting I brought it for an artist talk, at and what you see i the result of the advices I got.

Symbolic do I like that the train tracks towards the horizon represent the future and the possibilities ahead, while the bridge symbolizes the transition between the stages of life.
